Progressive Jackpot Slots
Progressive jackpot slots feature prize pools that can grow before a qualifying award. Below are six jackpot tickers from Total Affiliates’ RTG marketing pack, followed by a guide to jackpot types, currency, eligibility and bonus conditions.
The amounts are labelled USD and show their feed-check time. A displayed pool is information about the named feed, not a guaranteed prize, a prediction of the next result or confirmation that every reviewed casino offers the same game configuration.

The amounts refresh from the source when this section is visible. Check the timestamp on each card. If a request fails, the card shows that the feed is unavailable rather than inventing an amount. The casino’s own game screen and rules remain the place to confirm its current jackpot and eligibility.
How a Progressive Jackpot Works
A progressive pool can increase through contributions specified by the game or network. When a qualifying award occurs, the pool normally resets according to its rules. The starting or seed amount, contribution rate and award mechanism are game-specific.
The pool is separate from an ordinary symbol payout
A slot can have regular paytable wins, free-spin features and a progressive prize in the same game. Those rewards need not share the same trigger. Read which symbols or feature award the jackpot and whether any extra condition applies.
The ticker does not contain those rules. It reports an amount for a named feed. A large number on a promotional display does not tell you the probability of a qualifying award or the stake needed to be eligible.
Growing does not mean due
For a randomly triggered jackpot, a larger pool does not by itself show that the next round is more likely to win it. Some other jackpot designs use different award systems, such as stated limits. Do not apply one type’s rules to another title without reading them.
A reset can cause a large drop in the amount shown. The feed alone does not provide a winner’s identity or prove the precise reason for a change. Avoid treating a rising ticker as a countdown.
Fixed, Local and Network Jackpots
Fixed prizes
A fixed jackpot has a stated award under the game’s paytable or tier rules. Its name may sound similar to a progressive, but its amount does not necessarily grow through contributions. Multiple tiers can mix fixed prizes and a changing top pool.
Local progressive pools
A local pool is linked to the scope defined by its operator or game rules. That might be a single installation or another limited group. Do not infer the scope from the game title alone.
Network progressive pools
A network pool can be shared across participating games or operators under that network’s rules. Participation must be checked for the actual casino and version. A third-party feed is not proof that all casinos in a review table participate in the same pool.
Multi-tier jackpots
Labels such as mini, minor, major and grand describe a prize hierarchy. They do not establish whether every tier is progressive or whether all tiers use the same trigger. Inspect the individual amounts and qualifying conditions.
What to Check in the Game Rules
Exact title, version and currency
The ticker pack names Jackpot Cleopatra’s Gold and Jackpot Piñatas. A similarly named Deluxe title is not automatically the same configuration. Check the provider, exact title and jackpot screen in the lobby rather than substituting a related name.
This page requests USD from the supplied feed. It does not convert those figures into AUD. Account currencies, displayed game amounts and payout currency can differ; use the operator’s currency information for the game you are viewing.
Qualifying stakes and extra wagers
Some games can tie jackpot eligibility to a specified stake, enabled feature or side wager. Other games use different conditions. Never assume that a minimum stake, maximum stake or all stake levels qualify without checking the rules.
A larger wager increases the money at risk. It is not a reason to exceed a planned spending limit. If the required wager does not fit that limit, the headline jackpot does not change the decision.
RTP and volatility
A large possible prize does not fully describe a game’s RTP or volatility. The probability of every outcome and the allocation of return between ordinary and jackpot prizes matter. A jackpot headline alone cannot supply those values.
The RTP calculator explains expected return for hypothetical turnover. It does not estimate a particular jackpot’s probability. Read the high volatility and low volatility guides for the difference between average return and payout patterns.
Promotional credit and withdrawal rules
Progressive games may be excluded from a coupon or contribute differently toward wagering. A title being accessible does not prove it is eligible while a bonus is active. Check the permitted games, maximum stake and treatment of any jackpot award.
The welcome bonus guide explains match caps and wagering bases. The bonus hub links to free chips and promotional spins. A promotional spin allocation is not a promise of jackpot eligibility.
Reading the ticker on a phone
Each card separates the game title, amount, currency and check time. The display does not artificially add cents between source responses. A network interruption can prevent a refresh, so check the timestamp instead of assuming the amount is current to the second.
Use the mobile guide to check game controls and information screens. Device size alone does not establish a different jackpot pool or mathematical model.

Progressive Jackpot Slots FAQs
What is a progressive jackpot slot?
It has a jackpot pool that can grow under the game’s contribution rules before a qualifying award. Read the exact game rules for how it is funded, triggered and reset.
Which games have tickers on this page?
The supplied RTG ticker pack provides slot feeds for Aztecs Millions, Jackpot Cleopatra’s Gold, Jackpot Piñatas, Megasaur, Shopping Spree II and Spirit of the Inca.
Are the jackpot amounts in AUD?
No. These tickers use the supplied USD feed. The page labels the currency explicitly rather than assuming a dollar sign means Australian dollars.
How often do the amounts refresh?
The page requests the feed when the ticker section becomes visible and refreshes roughly every minute while the page is visible. Network delays and caching can affect the displayed time.
Why can a jackpot amount fall?
A progressive can reset after an award under its rules, and a feed can also be corrected. A lower amount alone does not establish who won or the precise cause.
Does a larger jackpot mean it is due to pay?
No. The displayed pool size alone does not establish the chance of a qualifying result or predict when it will be awarded.
Is every jackpot progressive?
No. A fixed jackpot has a specified award, while a progressive pool can change. Games can contain both fixed and progressive prize tiers.
Does every stake qualify for every jackpot?
Do not assume so. Read the game’s stake, side-bet, mode and eligibility rules. These ticker amounts do not establish that a particular wager qualifies.
Can bonus money be used on progressive games?
That depends on the selected coupon and game rules. Progressive titles can be excluded or contribute differently to wagering; lobby availability does not establish bonus eligibility.
Does a ticker confirm the game is available at a reviewed casino?
No. It reports the named source feed. Check the exact title and configuration in the casino’s current lobby; the table on this page compares general welcome offers.
